Police at Boujis, the club is a favourite of princes and stars

A woman was arrested at Prince Harry's favourite nightspot today after a violent attack on another clubber.

Police raided Boujis in South Kensington when a fight broke out in the early hours.

A woman clubber is said to have thrown a glass at the head of her male companion who had to be taken to hospital.

Police arrested the woman at the nightspot just after 1am and she is still in custody.

The victim is believed to have been released from hospital with a slight injury to the ear.

This is not the first time police have been called following violence at the club, also a favourite watering hole of Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton.

Three years ago a fight erupted outside the venue while Harry partied with friends inside. Several clubbers were left covered in blood after the brawl.

It was the second time that month that a fight had broken out while the prince was at the club.

Earlier this year, the manager of Boujis, Jake Parkinson-Smith, 31, was detained by police close to the club after he was caught carrying cocaine.

After being arrested and taken to a police station for questioning, Mr Parkinson-Smith, grandson of the late society photographer Norman Parkinson, avoided prosecution and an appearance in court by accepting a caution.

The club is popular with a string of celebrities as well as royals. Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Freddie Flintoff have all been pictured leaving the club this week.
