London schoolboy quarantined in Beijing to be released

A London schoolboy quarantined in a Beijing hospital with suspected swine flu spoke of his joy today as he prepared to be released.
Matthew Barnett, 14, a pupil at the Central Foundation Boys' School in Islington, has been in the Ditan Infectious Diseases Hospital in the northern suburbs of Beijing for nearly a week.
He said: “I've been told by doctors and by my teachers that I'm getting out today. I'm going straight to join my friends in a five-star hotel in Beijing and I can't wait.”
