Pop star in court on assault charge
30 Jul 2009The keyboard player with pop group Wet Wet Wet was today remanded on bail charged with attacking a woman.
Neil Mitchell, 44, of Cleveden Road, Glasgow, appeared at West London Magistrates' Court accused of assaulting Miss Olivia Warren, thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.
The court heard that he had indicated a plea of not guilty and District Judge Susan Williams remanded him to appear at the same court on September 10.
She imposed conditions of bail that he must not contact Miss Warren either directly or indirectly, and not enter Brookville Road, Fulham, south west London.
Mitchell, who was wearing a dark suit, declined to comment as he left the court.
