Tobago Britons attacked with machete

A British couple were seriously injured in a machete attack in Tobago, the Foreign Office said tonight.
Peter Greene, 65, and his wife Miriam, 59, originally from Reading, Berkshire, were attacked on Saturday afternoon.
They were airlifted to a regional medical centre in Trinidad where they remain.
The couple had been living in the town of Bacolet along Tobago's southern coast on and off for 10 years, Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday newspaper reported.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We can confirm two British nationals have been hospitalised after the attack in Tobago and we are providing consular assistance."
Tobago police superintendent Nadir Khan said: "It's a matter of serious concern, this is another serious attack on tourists."
He said robbery had not been ruled out as a motive and the attack was similar to the unsolved killing in October of a Swedish couple on the Caribbean island.
Anna Sundsval, 62, and Oke Olsoon, 73, were attacked at their home in the Bon Accord area of Tobago, about seven miles from where Saturday's incident occurred.
One suspect was questioned in connection with the earlier attack but was later released for lack of evidence.
Mr Khan said his department was "working assiduously" on the October case.
But, he said: "We're not getting the kind of response we would like to have from members of the general public coming forward with information."
