Missing dog found after two years

A Jack Russell turned up two years after she went missing and more than 60 miles from home, a vet said today.
Lizzie ran off from her home in Mapperley Park, Nottingham, after escaping through a gate at owner Chris Day's address in June 2007.
The 40-year-old, his wife Fi, and their three children Ben, 15, Nat, 12, and 11-year-old Mimi, had given up hope of ever seeing their beloved pet again.
That was until a few days ago when the family received a call from St George's Veterinary group in Wolverhampton to say four-year-old Lizzie had been found by a farmer.
Toni Colbourne, 34, from the practice, said: "No-one has any idea where Lizzie has been for two years.
"She was found by a farmer wandering in a field and brought in to us. Fortunately she was microchipped and her details came up as an address in Nottingham.
"We called the family and they confirmed it was their dog but they had given up all hope. They jumped in the car and came straight down to us.
"How she got from Nottingham to Wolverhampton nobody knows, but there is no way she has been a stray because she is too well looked after.
"It just highlights the importance of having your pet microchipped."
Mr Day said he believed Lizzie had been used as a working dog as she had marks on her legs.
He told the Nottingham Evening Post: "It's absolutely fantastic, she just came in, sniffed the other dog and the cats and sat down on her favourite pink sofa."
