Face op for machete horror attack wife

A British woman who was attacked with a machete in Tobago has undergone facial reconstructive surgery, medics said today.
Miriam Greene, 59, had a steel plate inserted in her jaw after she and her husband were attacked in their home on the island on Saturday afternoon.
Peter Greene, 65, who was also seriously injured in the incident, remained in a medically-induced coma, hospital officials said.
Doctors are waiting for his condition to stabilise before considering surgery.
The couple, originally from Reading, Berkshire, have reportedly lived in the town of Bacolet along Tobago's southern coast off-and-on for 10 years.
Detectives said they had questioned several people in the area but there were no suspects.
Following the attack the Foreign Office updated its advice for travellers to Trinidad and Tobago, saying: "You should be aware that there are high levels of violent crime, especially shootings and kidnappings.
"British nationals have been victims of violent attacks, particularly in Tobago where law enforcement is weak."
According to local reports the pair are being treated at the Eric Williams Medical Complex on Trinidad.
Tobago police superintendent Nadir Khan described the attack on the Greenes as "another serious attack on tourists".
Bacolet is about seven miles from where Swedish couple Anna Sundsval, 62, and Oke Olsoon, 73, were killed last year in a similar attack.
Authorities detained one person in that case but released him for a lack of evidence.
Eight killings have been reported on Tobago so far this year, compared with four in 2008. The more developed island of Trinidad has reported 321 killings.
