Baby P mother is switched to 'safer' jail
Peter Dominiczak7 Aug 2009
The mother of Baby P has been moved from Holloway to a prison in the north of England.
The 28-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was driven from the north London jail to Low Newton prison, near Durham, which houses 336 women.
It is claimed she will be given special protection there from possible attacks by other inmates.
The move comes after it was revealed that she could be freed in 2012 because of time spent behind bars while on remand after her arrest in August 2007.
Baby Peter died aged 17 months after suffering sustained abuse and neglect at the hands of his mother, her boyfriend and their lodger. He was found in his bloodied cot with more than 50 injuries.
The child had been on Haringey's at-risk register and had been seen 60 times by professionals whose job it was to protect children from harm.

Protection that was not afforded to her child.

She deserves nothing, especially having her life made easier. Relocating her to a 'safe' location is an insult to the memory of Baby Peter.
"It is claimed she will be given special protection there from possible attacks by other inmates". Can someone please explain to me why she deserves special protection? Once again the Government panders to the criminal.

shame baby P was denied the same protection now being given to his killer. Sums up New Labours Britain - protect the perpretator at all costs, whilst letting the victims suffer.
