Emma Rowley

British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are to charge passengers for carrying extra luggage. BA economy passengers face paying £40 for a second bag from October.

Virgin Atlantic will charge economy passengers £35. US Airways will demand £31, a fee similar to that of Delta and American Airlines.

Michael, London, how, exactly will an airline be responsible for your inability to manage your own luggage, given the terms and conditions an airline issue along with the purchase of a ticket (the fact you have read about it previously notwithstanding)?

Get one with wheels, use a trolley, or ask for help if your back gives you that much trouble.

£500,000! Silly man.

I assume that if I aggrevate my back problem by being unbalanced carrying one very heavy suitcase instead of two smaller balanced ones I will be able to sue for say £500,000! You should talk to you Health and Safety people unless they are accountants.
