How sureslim diet works

Mark Blunden

The Sureslim method involves a blood test to check patients' cholesterol, lipids (or fats) and other body metabolic functions.

The analysis also checks that the liver, kidneys and thyroid gland are functioning correctly.

A bespoke diet is then drawn up. Sureslim particularly looks at reducing high levels of meat and saturated fats and at regulating metabolism.

Janis Spring, 42, of Romford, weighed 19st10lb and had been diagnosed with Type II diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. She said she lost 9st8lb in 18 months through a Sureslim eating plan, with reduced seafood, red meat and yellow cheese.

Mrs Spring, a mother of two, did the plan with husband Daren, 45, and daughter Danielle, 19. She said: "My quality of life was deteriorating. The pasta I ate turned to sugar and made my diabetes worse. I was in constant pain and I tried diet clubs and tablets but nothing worked. We now go to the gym and go running. My diabetes is under control and my blood pressure is also down."

I am on this wonderful Lifestyle Plan after losing over 70 pounds in 8 months. I think it is fantastic that NHS is trying this avenue of dealing with Obesity and wish them well. I work in Health in New Zealand and have mentioned this idea to people that I work with in the hope that it may happen here as well. I might add that before I was pretty unhealthy and heading for Type II diabetes and after I have no health issues at all.

I'd just like to say well done to Janis on her fantastic success with Sureslim!! I've done the plan myself and have lost a considerable amount of weight, I feel so much better for it. Unfortunately my GP wasnt as helpful when I approached him for help losing weight, so personally I think this is a great initiative and well done to sureslim and the PCT for coming together to help others like me - it's long overdue! I would recommend SureSlim to anyone!

I'd just like to say well done to Janis on achiving such fantastic results on SureSlim! I am also on the eating plan myself and have lost a considerable amount of weight and feel much healthier for it. I was pleasantly surprised to read the article about the NHS now offering a referral service and think this a a fabulous idea! My Doctor never helped me to lose weight, I always felt fobbed off, and I know there are others like mw who were desperate for help. Good on SS and the PCT's for taking on this initiative!
