Brown takes Cabinet on Olympic jaunt in attempt to boost ratings

The Prime Minister today swapped the historic Cabinet room at No10 for the modest offices of a building contractor at the 2012 Olympic Games site.
The Olympic Park took centre stage in his political fight-back for a unique Cabinet away-day.
Earlier, ministers spread out over east London to stage visits to Government-backed projects in an attempt to use the enthusiasm for the Games to boost Labour's fortunes in the run-up to the critical party conferences before the general election.
Today's Cabinet will be followed by a summit of G20 finance ministers in London, building up to the Pittsburgh G20 meeting where Downing Street strategists hope to showcase Mr Brown's strength on the world stage.
Mr Brown hailed the London Olympics as "the greatest opportunity for this country in a generation".
He said: "Thanks to the Olympics, thousands of jobs are being created and protected in some of the industries worst hit by the recession - and in some of Britain's most deprived areas."
But there was bad news for the Prime Minister as a YouGov survey for The Sun found the Conservatives heading for a 96-seat Commons majority, with David Cameron leading by 42per cent to Mr Brown's 28per cent. The Liberal Democrats were on 17.
Two-thirds of voters believed Mr Cameron would make a better prime minister.

Once again McBroon spouts of about Opportunities, Jobs, and how local people will benefit from the Olympics. This is the biggest load of tosh I've heard. Ther ARE NO JOBS FOR LOCALS ............. The jobs are being done by foreign workers, the locals cannot get work at the olympic sites.
I challenge McBroon and his cohorts to prove what I'm saying is wrong!!!!
I know many tradesmen who would love to get a start on the olympic sites!

Brown spouts: "thousands of jobs are being created and protected".
British jobs for British workers? NO.
Gormless Brown's weasel words will cut no ice with the 4,000,000 currently unemployed in the UK.
