Deposit box raid bosses charged

Three directors of a safe deposit box company have been charged with offences including the possession of a firearm, counterfeit currency and false identity documents.

Scotland Yard has been investigating safe deposit boxes allegedly used by organised gangs for 15 months.

In June last year officers searched thousands of boxes held by Safe Deposit Centres Ltd in Hampstead, Edgware and Park Lane.

Company director Milton Woolf, 53, of Golders Green, Jacqueline Swan, 45, of Barnet, and Leslie Sief, 61, of West Hampstead, will appear at Westminster magistrates' court on 25 September.
