Christmas mince pies: eat by 28 Oct

Tesco is selling mince pies — 100 days before Christmas and with a best before date in October.
The pies, complete with Santa's red-gloved hand pinching one of the Christmas treats on the box, are being sold at £1.49 for six as part of a buy-one-get-one free offer. Shoppers can get 12 mince pies for just 12p each — but must eat them before 28 October.
The Mr Kipling mince pie box also features Christmas decorations and call the pies Exceedingly Merry Mince Pies.
A Tesco spokesman said today it would look into any complaints received by customers.

I would be more concerned if I found pies with a best before date in August!
