World's oldest man celebrates 113th birthday
22 Sep 2009A former railway worker thought to be the world's oldest man has celebrated his 113th birthday.
Walter Breuning, pictured, held a celebration at a retirement home in Montana, where he blew out candles on his cake and met state governor Brian Schweitzer. He was presented with a $10,000 cheque. Mr Breuning, who was born on 21 September 1896, attributes his long life to eating two meals a day, going for regular strolls and taking one aspirin a day. He lost his wife in 1957 after 35 years of marriage. They did not have children.
