The £53 million Securitas armed robbery is to be turned into a film.
Darren Aronofsky, best known for his hit film The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke, is to direct the film about the 2006 heist.
Five people have been jailed for the 2006 robbery in Tonbridge, Kent.
Depot manager Colin Dixon and his family were kidnapped at gunpoint by men posing as police officers during the raid.
The Securitas robbery was the largest cash raid in British crime history - though its claim to be the biggest ever robbery has since been eclipsed by this year's £40million Graff diamond raid.
A 30-year-old man is due to stand trial in connection with the Securitas raid next Monday.
Police have so far recovered about £30million of the cash stolen from the Tonbridge depot but the rest is still missing.
The film deal is reported today by Variety magazine.
