Four more people have contracted E.coli in an outbreak linked to a children's petting farm.

A total of 86 people who visited Godstone Farm in Surrey have contracted the potentially deadly O157 strain, the Health Protection Agency said.

They include three children who are being treated in hospital. None of the three is said to be seriously ill.

The farm near Redhill closed on 12 September. Tests confirmed the E.coli bug was present in animal droppings.

Four other farms have since closed, or partially closed, including Horton Park Children's Farm in Epsom and the World of Country Life farm in Exmouth, Devon.
