Sam’s style hits the spot

08.10.09

Samantha Cameron achieved a PR feat with her simultaneously aspirational and “woman of the people” outfit.

Her elegant grey polka dot dress looked designer but cost just £65 from Marks & Spencer.

It was part of the high street retailer's limited edition 250th-anniversary collection of vintage-style frocks launched in May. Smaller sizes to fit svelte figures like SamCam's sold out in a day.

Choosing this great value number echoed her husband's big message of the day: “Spend less money and spend it well”.
