The model who was digitally altered to appear ultra-thin in a Ralph Lauren jeans advert claims the firm fired her for being too fat.

Filippa Hamilton, 23, a Lauren model since she was 15, looks so thin in the ad her head appears as big as her waist.

The Swedish-French model said she was fired in April before she knew about the photo, adding: "They said I couldn't fit their clothes."

A Ralph Lauren spokesman said the job ended due to her "inability to meet obligations under her contract", and the image was "mistakenly released".
