Taliban casualties mount in Pakistan
19 Oct 2009Pakistani soldiers killed at least eight Taliban fighters today in their offensive against a militant stronghold on the Afghan border.
The army says 60 Taliban and six soldiers have died since its attacks began in South Waziristan on Saturday.
About 10,000 Pakistani militants are thought to operate in the region. Today's deaths were in the Khaisur area.
The US has sent night-vision goggles to help the army.

I trust the whining do-gooders of the so-called charities will not impede Pakistani army success against the murderous Taliban terrorists.
