A historic London hotel has devised a "very British" cocktail to raise funds for the nation's wounded soldiers.
The Cavalry Cocktail - made of ruby port, Courvoisier VSOP Exclusif Cognac, Grand Marnier and red burgundy -will be available at five-star The Royal Horseguards in Whitehall, from 1 November.
The £12 drink, right, has been created in honour of the hotel's neighbouring regiment, The Household Cavalry, home to The Life Guards and The Blues & Royals regiments, the eldest and most senior in the Army. All profits will go to the Charitable Fund and Help for Heroes which support injured troops.
