Hopes of a climate change deal rose today after it emerged that rich nations were favouring short-term demands for cuts in greenhouse gases.
Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband joined US officials in hinting that they would focus on 2020 targets for developing countries. Richer nations are committed to cutting emissions by 80 per cent by 2050, but developing states see this as a burden on their economies. At London talks with the world's 17 biggest emitters, Mr Miliband said "The important thing are mid-term actions."

Climate change has always happened - we wouldn't be
here now if not. The only thing these idiots should
be doing is limiting the earth's population growth, but
of course they dare not say a thing about that because
its non-PC.

Actually the Sun isn't the only driver of our weather. Plate tectonic induced opening and closing of oceanic gateways and mountain formation affects climate in a number of different ways. Volcanism, notably though the emission of greenhouse gases, is also a key player.

Yet another meaningless reason for the world's leaders to get together for a beano and demonstrate they are "doing something", rather than getting on and solving real problems like the economy and poverty.
Especially so for Gormless Clown, as he has mucked up everything else he touches, so he is now turning his hand to the green debate as well.

Pointless - Noone has identified a way to reduce the output from the Sun which is the ONLY driver for our weather.
Have a rant Greenies!
