Police called after Gazza 'headbutted bouncer' at club

Police were called to a snooker club after former football star Paul Gascoigne allegedly headbutted a bouncer.
Northumbria Police said no further action would be taken after the alleged victim did not make a complaint.
It was reported that doorman Paul Hindle was assaulted by the former England midfielder at the Spot White snooker club in Newcastle city centre earlier this month.
According to reports said the bust up happened after Gascoigne, 42, was asked not to smoke in the snooker hall.
However, the former Newcastle and Spurs footballer was caught lighting up in the toilets and was asked to leave the club.
Mr Hindle, 30, a former soldier, told the newspaper: "That was when they started getting aggressive. I could tell it was about to get violent, and Gazza just launched himself at me.
"I was shocked. Some people might have hit back but I didn't because Gazza is so scrawny now and I thought I'd end up hurting him."
As Gascoigne left the snooker club, he went to shake Mr Hindle's hand, then pulled him close and kissed him on the cheek, the doorman added.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "At 12.28am on Thursday October 9 Northumbria Police receive a report of a verbal altercation at a premises on Stowell Street, Newcastle.
"When police arrived no complaints were made and no crime had been committed."
No-one at the snooker club was available for comment.
