Heathrow voted world's worst airport

Heathrow has been voted the worst airport in the world for the second year running.

London's main airport came bottom in a poll of frequent flyers from more than 160 countries.

Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris was voted the second worst while Los Angeles International Airport was third worst despite a $1billion overhaul.

The survey's participants, who have all taken an average of 17 flights in the past year, ranked Singapore's Changi airport the best. This was followed by Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok - the second consecutive year that these airports have made the top two slots.

The favourite airport in Europe was Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Jonathan French from airport lounge programme Priority Pass said: "Sadly, Heathrow remains entrenched as the airport the world loves to hate." But US travellers did not rate Heathrow as badly as others, voting Chicago, Los Angeles and New York JFK the worst.

Yes, but it was also the very first. Unfortunately it is suffering now as a consequence.

I totally agree!
Never had a good experience using it and totally avoid it when planning flights.
