Madoff's friend is found dead in pool

A close friend of jailed US fraudster Bernard Madoff has been found dead at the bottom of his own swimming pool at his Florida home.
Jeffry Picower, 67, who reportedly had Parkinson's disease, had gone for a swim at his $33million Palm Beach home and was found 15 minutes later, his wife said.
Police were treating his death as possible drowning.
His lawyers recently denied accusations he gained $7billion from the $65billion fraud for which Madoff is serving a 150-year sentence.
