Pierre Koffmann's pop-up restaurant at Selfridges will stay open for an extra six weeks because of huge demand.

The former three Michelin-starred chef/patron of La Tante Claire will now keep the temporary restaurant open until 27 November.

Initially it was planned that the 80-seat Pierre Koffmann Restaurant on the Roof, on top of the Oxford Street store, would stay open for a week as part of the first London Restaurant Festival.

Its run was extended until this weekend, and the final extension was announced yesterday.

Selfridges has received almost 10,000 calls and 8,000 emails for reservations. Chefs Eric Chavot and Bruno Loubet will now work full time at the restaurant until it closes.
