Hezbollah denies arms shipment

05.11.09

Lebanon's Hezbollah guerrillas have denied claims that tons of weapons seized on a ship were meant for them.

Israeli commandos found rockets, missiles, mortars and anti-tank weapons on the Antiguan-flagged Francop in waters off Cyprus.

The arms shipment - in containers carrying Iranian shipping codes - was the largest Israel has ever seized.

Hezbollah accused Israel of fabrication and piracy.

- Mike B, London

I think Israel should give them back to Hezbollah. By dropping them on their existing arms dumps that are in contravention of the UN peace treaty that ended the war of 2006. Don't see the UN condemning Hezbollah now do we?
