A man has been stabbed to death after a row broke out in a London fast food restaurant.

The 20-year-old, who has not been named, was stabbed yesterday afternoon in the Caledonia chicken shop in Park Parade in Harlesden.

Witnesses said two men were arguing in the chicken shop just after 5pm when one of them suddenly pulled out a knife and attacked the 20-year-old.

A woman witness said the man was left lying in a "huge pool of blood" on the floor of the fast food restaurant.

The teenager, who did not want to be named, said: "The blood was everywhere. It was awful. It looked like he must have died in there on the shop floor. The Caledonia is where all the school children always go on their way home from school. I can't believe something like that could have happened in there."

Another witness said: "The two of them had some sort of misunderstanding and it just got out of control. One of them had a knife and killed him. The guy who died was well known around here. People always went to him with their problems."

Police have arrested an 18-year-old man and a woman in connection with the stabbing. They remain in custody in a north-west London police station. Police said that officers from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are now investigating the murder.

Any witnesses should call police on 020 8721 4205 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A fourth man was killed during Halloween night, it has emerged. Paulius Riepsa, 25, was found dead at a squat in Stratford on Saturday. A post-mortem examination showed he had died from head injuries. IT worker Ben Gardner, 30, Richard Price, 23, and Moses Devall, 36, died in separate attacks.
