Death squad at an AA meeting

11.11.09

Gunmen burst into an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in the Mexican city of Chihuahua and opened fire, killing one person and wounding four others.

Investigators have not discovered a motive but police believe gangs may be using drug rehabilitation centres as cover for their activities or as recruiting grounds.

More than 1,900 people have been killed in drug wars this year.
