Expenses fraud MEP sent to jail

11 Nov 2009

THE first senior British politician to be jailed for fiddling expenses was imprisoned for two years today.

Tom Wise, 61, was a UKIP MEP for East of England when he fiddled £39,000 he was claiming for his secretary and diverted much of it into a secret bank account.

Last week he changed his plea at Southwark crown court to guilty - which cut a year off his sentence.

I think this is very sad news. The MP's don't deserved this. They have worked so hard in creating a world where we can all walk the street without fear of being mugged or burgled. They have rised taxes to put the money towards more police and serivices. They won the olympic bid for us so we can enjoy the friuts that the olympics bring. They vote to extend their holidays because of the sheer volume of work and stress they have to endure.
We need to campaingn this poor servant to be released from a place where he doesn't belong.Bring a tear to my eye.
