Man in court over knife attack on West Ham star
16 Nov 2009The man who stabbed West Ham footballer Calum Davenport, 26, in the legs was told today he faces a "substantial" prison term.
Worrell Whitehurst, 25, boyfriend of the player's sister Cara, admitted the knife attack at Luton Crown Court.
Whitehurst, of Derby, also pleaded guilty to wounding Davenport's mother Kim Stupple, 49, in the incident. He will be sentenced later.
