Teenage knife killer named

A teenage thug who stabbed a 15-year-old boy through the heart at an anti-knife event was locked up for a minimum of 17 years at the Old Bailey today.

Stephen Lewis was surrounded at a disco in Plaistow on 24 January with the killers shouting "shank him".

Chris Mazekelua, 17, lashed out as partygoers filmed the attack using their mobile phones.

Police were already at the scene in Plaistow as part of Operation Bland targeting knife-carrying youths. But when they tried to question witnesses they met a wall of silence.

Mazekelua, of Canning Town, can be named for the first time today after Judge Timothy Pontius QC lifted the ban on identification imposed because of his young age.

Mazekelua was sentenced to detention for an indefinite term with a minimum 17 years at her Majesty's pleasure.

A second teenager involved in the attack, Rissasy Nyimbi, 18, also of Canning Town, will be sentenced for manslaughter on 7 December.

Make imported / foreign gang crime on the streets of London. No one asked and voted for mass immigration but we are dealing with serious repurcussions from it. TIME FOR CHANGE!
