18.11.09

A fourth former Scotland Yard counter-terrorism detective has been charged with misusing a corporate credit card.

The officer was questioned as part of an anti-corruption inquiry in the Met Police.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission said he will be prosecuted for abusing his position and false accounting. A spokeswoman said his identity must remain secret. He will appear in court tomorrow.

Three other officers from the force's specialist operations wing have also been charged with criminal offences.
