Army blamed for Katrina flooding
19 Nov 2009A federal judge has ruled that the US Army Corps of Engineers' failure to maintain a navigation channel led to some of the massive flooding from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
The decision could mean the US government will face billions of dollars in claims.
District Judge Stanwood Duval sided with six residents and a business over flooding in one New Orleans ward.
