A gang of teenage crooks have become an internet hit after cctv footage of their comical ram raid was posted on YouTube.

Thousands of internet users have now seen the clip.

The nine youths, dressed in black with hoods and masks, were filmed struggling to break into a camera shop in Stamford Hill. Five of them tried to shove a parked car out of the way but stopped when a driver went past and then pretended to make a call at a phonebox.

One raider, driving a Vauxhall Cavalier, took two goes to crash through the shutters before they escaped with goods worth thousands of pounds. Police have so far made no arrests linked to the raid at 4am last Thursday.

This robbery was no comic! For a few teenagers to get together and steal a few cars to break into a camera shop just shows how low the area is. And of course the police will never (try to) catch them, which will lead to crime getting worse and worse.
One day we will be missing the times when we weren't afraid to walk around the block at night!

No I didn't find it very funny either - sinister and a bit depressing, yes.
