TV show Jordan must eat jungle bugs

21 Nov 2009

Katie Price is gearing up for yet another Bushtucker Trial on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! - but this time she will be partnered by a fellow contestant.

TV presenter Kim Woodburn was chosen by the public to join Price, aka Jordan, in a challenge in which they will eat vile jungle delicacies.

When the model was chosen a fifth time for a stomach-churning task, she said: "Oh you're joking. Someone else, please."

She joked: "I can't wait to eat a kangaroo nut". And she told Woodburn that if she had eaten rat, she would eat anything.

On Friday night, viewers saw the 31-year-old climb a 60ft rock face and retrieve stars from holes filled with creepy crawlies.

Beasts hiding in the holes included beetles, spiders, a snake and a rat, but Price managed to collect nine stars, winning nine meals for the contestants. She told hosts Ant and Dec: "That was petrifying."

Price divorced husband Peter Andre - whom she met on a previous I'm A Celebrity... appearance - earlier this year. She warned she was ready to quit the show after being repeatedly picked to complete the tough trials.

The contestants have been divided into two areas - base camp and exile - where rations are running short. Chef Gino D'Acampo caught, killed and cooked a rat to boost their levels of protein, as they had been living on beans and rice.

The group were worried that they may not have the strength to complete a Bushtucker Trial. He said: "It's not done by choice but it's done because we need it. We need some kind of protein, we need some kind of flavour."

Actor Stuart Manning became the first of the exiled contestants to return to base camp after winning a challenge in which the celebrities had to stop water leaking out of a tube by blocking holes with their fingers.
