A 10-year-old boy from Dulwich will walk the red carpet on Sunday after making the final of a film competition — two years after his brother made the same shortlist.

Dominic McBraith, pictured, from Dulwich College Prep, made a spoof news film, N.O.News, inspired by watching Steve Coogan in comedy show The Day Today.

He beat nearly 800 others to make the final four of the British Academy Children's Awards.

Dominic persuaded his siblings, Patrick, 17, Caroline, 14, and Edmund, eight, to take part in his production — just as Patrick did for his film, Race Against Time.

His father, Andrew, 50, had software on his laptop which helped Dominic edit it. He learned about the Me and my Movie competition on Blue Peter. “I know it's a very good film so it doesn't really matter if I win or lose. But I would like to win,” he said.

His mother Veronica McGrath, 49, will accompany him to the ceremony at the London Hilton. Jocelyn Stevenson, who chaired the judges, described his film as “pun-filled and hilarious.” To watch it go to bbc.co.uk/cbbc/meandmymovie
