Hiding in London, the Polish brothers wanted for child rapes
Justin Davenport, Crime Editor14 Dec 2009
Two brothers wanted for a string of child rapes are suspected of hiding in London after fleeing their native Poland, it was revealed today.
They are on a list of 10 most wanted suspects, including killers and robbers as well as rapists, believed to have fled to Britain after committing offences abroad.
Scotland Yard's Extradition Unit today released images of the 10 and details of their alleged crimes in an effort to trace them.

The Polish brothers, Wojciech and Dariusz Glowacki, aged 28 and 32 respectively, are wanted for at least three rapes and sex assaults on girls aged under 18.
The attacks took place in Poland between September 2000 and January 2001, after which the Glowackis are thought to have fled.
Police say intelligence links them to Acton or Slough.
Another subject of the police hunt, which has been codenamed Operation Sunfire, is a British national wanted in America for a string of university burglaries linked to the Russian mafia.
Scotland Yard decided to release the "most wanted" details after extensive enquiries drew a blank, finding the men to be operating "below the radar".
Detective Sergeant Dean Coyle, of the Extradition Unit, said: "We are hoping the public's vigilance can help us trace these men. Many are considered dangerous and should not be approached. But if you spot them or believe you know where they are living, working or frequenting, I would urge you to give call Crimestoppers a call so that my men can reach them."
Mr Coyle said intelligence indicates all 10 wanted men are still in Britain. "The countries where these crimes happened want these men back to face justice and it is in the interests of London to help find them," he added.
Mr Coyle said John McLean, 23, the Briton wanted for the US university burglaries, is also suspected of committing offences in the UK. He has links to Tower Hamlets and High Wycombe. American police say he is suspected of being part of a gang with links to the Russian mafia which carried out organised raids on universities including Harvard. He was arrested for theft in January in Tower Hamlets but was released on bail and disappeared.
Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Roger of South Londonn seems to forget that British people, yes people with white skin can also commit the offences he listed. Examples of the gangsters that he mentions go back at far as the Krays et al and are still around. Gunmen, again have we forgotten Rhys Jones already, I believe he was murdered by, what was that? Oh yes someone from Britain. Killers(obivously showing his ignorance as killer/murderer is the same thing)but again do we remember the man who recently went to prison for killing young women in south london, or the father that threw his son off the balcony or what about Jamie Bulgers killer, no let's go back as far as Mary Bell - again all British. Criminals, prisoners on the run are inevitably white men who always seem to run home. What about paedos, Mrs George ring a bell, her and her cronies are in prison at the moment for molesting BABIES. Drugs gangs are, the head person always seems to be a white man who uses imbeciles to carry out the donkey work. Finally I'd like to comment on his moan about council estates that are no go areas. I'm assuming Roger was born and bred in England and therefore should aspire to owning his own place rather than wanting to live in council property. If foreigners are coming over here getting houses then shame on you British, you should have your own place anyway and want better!

Roger S, please stop showing your ignorance its completely embarassing for a British
man to be such a prat. We in this country have our own criminals (born and bred making them, what's that? Oh yes British!) You talk about foreign gangsters but if my mind serves me correctly I believe (going as far back as the 1950s/60s) the Krays et al were gangsters. I understand there are still British gangsters in East London. Gunmen, again I'd like you to remember Rhys Jones, sorry but remind me again, where was the gunman from? Killers - remember as recent as Baby P,and as far back as Mary Bell? All British you silly, silly man. As far moaning about council property, personally I think people born and bred in this country should be aspiring for better like a house of their own rather than something provided by the council.

Things go both ways.
The UK has "inflicted" its own underworld to other European countries.
Does "Costa Del Crime" ring?
More seriously, the ignorance generaly expressed here in relation to international police cooperation is rather worrying.
This article proves that there is cooperation, but fails to outline the success of that cooperation.
Of course, the anti-EU bias of the article is obvious.
If this country left the EU very little would change as per the movement of criminals around Europe.
To start with, your country opted out of the Schengen agreement, thus keeping full responsibility for its own borders.
Just imagine how it feels when taking that flight to the Balearics, when you will be asked all sorts of questions you take for granted not being asked today.
No one seems to care to let you know the truth.
I cannot see what use there would be to pull out of long lasting cooperations like Interpol, who have proven, time and time again to be useful.

I see that one of these east European criminals smuggled 3.6 kilos of cannabis and is wanted for that. Wow ! A WHOLE 3.6 kilos ?
The average British middle class teenager coming back from a gap year paid for by mummy and daddy's platinum card brings in about 10 kilos or so.
Complaining about east European criminals, most of whose crimes are quite mild by British standards, is pretty rich coming from a country that gave us Baby P.

The percentage of foreign criminals and illegal immigrants operating in London has gone through the roof in terms of numbers in the last twenty years.
We've heard that there's a very high percentage of foreign born mothers living in London giving birth here. Not in any way connected, but there is also a disproportionately high number of Eastern European and third world rogues, thieves and criminals running their lives of crime in our capital.
The Evening Standard's reportage of foreign criminals who get caught (tip of the iceberg), and whose stories appear on these pages with regular monotony is representative of the high numbers of foreigners and illegal criminals committing crimes in our capital.
Two ES commentators, Nolan and Decency, who may well be of immigrant stock and perfectly decent themselves, but are certainly partisan, would do well to reflect on the large numbers of crimes committed in this capital city by immigrants and foreigners. Foreign rogues and murdering thugs do not automatically receive a mantle of 'decency' or fine bloke bestowed on them by the term, immigrant. Not all foreigners living among us are well meaning, decent or benign. There are a disproportionate number whose actions tell us otherwise.

Sorry, Dave, but the relevance of this comment is...what, exactly? Are you saying the fact that a few British criminals have escaped overseas is some sort of justification for our accommodating the flood of East-European/Third-World scum that has swept over the UK?
Great logic!

am so glad that we gave our Border Agencies people a £10 bonus because they have done such a good job.
Take the bonus back, sack the top two tiers of management and cut the pay of everybody below by 20% and put a note on their social security file so that they do not receive any benefit until their pension.

This is the fallacy of belonging to the EU. The sooner we get out deport the rubbish, secure our borders the better.
How the hell have we for example allowed in the Russian mafia? The cost of policing this country has gone through the roof.

No doubt they will be picked up eventually for smoking in a public place, then we can learn how much benefits they are on each week, how many children they are claiming benefits for, how many offenses they have committed over here, how many gangs they run, etc etc,
This Government should all be in Court for failing to protect its citizens.

What and who are INTERPOL? We used to hear a lot about that organisation and the co-operative work all of Europe's police did in alerting and keeping tabs on international criminals. It's a long, long, time since I heard about Interpol in relation to all the worldwide criminals who are turning up in Britain. It seems almost as if Interpol, like the rest of the country, has given up on the 'anything goes' Government of the past 13 years.
The fascist squads of the politically correct, backed by some of those in Government, seem not to want to notice that Britain has become a thieves and criminals haven.

People actually have the effrontery to come on these boards and comment that there's nothing wrong with immigration. Time and again we're seeing the evidence that uncharted, uncontrolled immigration is disastrous for many.
Not all immigrants are a docile, meek, hardworking body of people. Far from it, as is proved by the gangsters, gunmen, killers, criminals, prisoners on the run and chancers who all make their ways to Britain. Most of the rest of Europe's entry points aren't as lax as Britain's. The people traffickers and smugglers are rolling them in. We've no idea the amounts of drugs gangs and foreign criminals who are harboured in this country.
Uncontrolled, unmanaged immigration is bad for our country. We've seen them take control of council estates and turn them into no go areas. The youth in these areas look up to them and take a lead from them. We all end up paying very heavy consequences.

Poland wasn't in the EU eight years ago. Also, there's no hard evidence that they ever set foot in Britain - I have "links to" lots of places in Europe, but that doesn't mean I've settled in those countries.
