Got to be there: fans pack the HMV store in Oxford Street for the launch of the This Is It DVD

Fans’ midnight dash for Michael Jackson DVD

22 Feb 2010

About 500 fans crammed into the HMV store at the stroke of midnight for the release of Michael Jackson's This Is It DVD.

They were also treated to a dance routine led by Travis Payne, the choreographer for the singer's last planned concerts, which were to have taken place at the O2 arena.

Jackson died 18 days before the first of the 50 dates. The film, showing the rehearsals and preparation for the show, is the highest grossing concert documentary ever.

Duncan Walker, have you even seen the film? Or are you too buys with your lady-boys?

The rehearsals were better than any live show out there today, and the finished article would have put MJ back at the top and kept it there.

I thought it had been out for months ? It has been available here for around 3 months. I personally thought it was crap. If he had had gone through with the start of the concerts he would not have finished the run and his reputation would have been ruined. It is probably better he went when he did. People can now remember him as he was at his best not worst!
