A wife at the centre of a £400 million divorce is to reveal her husband's dealings with the world's super-rich by handing over secret documents to the taxman.
Michelle Young, 45, will give the computer disk containing encrypted files to HM Revenue & Customs. It contains emails about his property, shares and film deals in the past five years.
They were found on the hard drive of a laptop used by her husband, Scot. He thought he had deleted them before giving the laptop to his estranged wife, who lives in St John's Wood, to help their children Scarlet, 17, and Sasha, 15, study for exams.
Mr Young, a “fixer” for Russian oligarchs and British billionaires, claims he is bankrupt after a series of disastrous financial deals. But his wife believes he has hidden his fortune, once estimated at £400 million, and is pursuing him through the courts.
Mr Young, 48, has been given a six-month suspended jail sentence for not disclosing where the money has gone. He said: “I have nothing to hide. A copy of the hard drive is with my former lawyers and I'm happy to give that to the Revenue.”
