The only problem i see in locking this thief away for a few years is that the combined cost of keeping her in prison and her kids in care would exceed the amout she is costing us at present. She is a Dutch National. She is a thief. deport her to Holland and make her a proscribed person so she can not sneak back.

The English tourist board should use these examples in Somalia and similar african and asian countries to welcome the world to soft, idiotic, blinkered, spineless, pc, full of white racists, traitorous, give away to all but the indiginous English, U.K.
She will never be locked up because it will affect her childrens rights. I know of so many foreign nationals in the uk that are supposedly estranged from their spouse and go to the top of the housing list because they have even 1 child, they are usually given a minimum of a 3 bed house and sit back while its fully done up for them and then sit on their fat backsides drawing everything free from the likes of you and me who are killing our selves working to support thieves like this, who have probably never worked a day in their lives.
Wouldn't it be interesting to know how many people who have come to the uk over the last 30 years and what benfits they have and are receiving, I would not mind betting that if you kicked out all those getting free benefits, the UK WOULD NOT BE IN RECESSION.
Well done lefty pc brigade who fall for the crocodile tears every time and then give away what us English have to work so bloody hard for, Cheers to the human rightists who are letting us be invaded and then making us pay for it.

There are good and bad in all people. I think faking a kidnapping is the act of a desperate woman, who is probably terrified of her ex partner. She deserves our sympathy. This sort of case just bring the racists out of the woodwork.

Joining the EU was a mistake as so many of them get accepted as refugees in other EU member states, then they come to UK where they find it the most easiest to milk the system fraudulently.
These so called refugees are burden, nuisance to our tax payers who themselves could never image living in a £2,000 per week housing nor is their monthly mortgage/rent £2000, work their ass off to maintain their employment. Worst of all these judges who are totally disconnected from ground reality and the struggles of ordinary tax payers, I stress ordinary as opposed to those like Lord Ashcroft and others. Send the refugees back to the EU member states where they were granted the status or deport them to their country of origin. If they have time to produce excessive kids, why can't they work and earn like other hard working tax payers rather than become blood sucking insects, why aren't they forced to work by DWP and the Courts. This country has reached to an irreparable state. Let us see if the coalition government has the will and courage to fix/rid these fraudsters forever.

This could have been done so much better. If this is a reflection on how government want the public to deal with the problem of immigrants, with the innocent ones thrown in too then, it is very sad indeed. Encouraging bigotry is not attractive. Some attitude is called for but this! Don't worry I'm gone, should have never entered this website, period. Sure I'm not going to be missed unless in line with the results you seek from this or any other article. Think this paper should just encourage bad attitudes also, towards, the children of immigrants born here too, to packing up and leaving also. Why not, you are quite capable! Hope her children are not recognized through her photo here and as a result targeted. Totally irresponsible, showing her photograph.

No hard feelings, just saying the obvious. Free speech, for some!

Can only think for certain that this paper encourages the extreme! Was only completing my incomplete ones re. this subject. Good to know anyway. And was not taking away from the importance of the this issue re. immigrants/immigration. Just like to keep the bigots in check!

As the US was mentioned. The American Indians who grew up on reservations, I met quite a few whilst living in Calif. USA years ago, highly educated and not so, if this adds value to what I am saying (don't see why!). I wonder, if they had any thoughts to immigration when the settlers first arrived. No, maybe not, but they, did not count! There is a problem with immigration control but, after reading the tone of some of these comments, I understand fully why friends, family members, young folk known, whether be highly educated or not as much so (black, white and others) but ,overall balanced and nearly always humanly intelligent, do not, ever, venture onto pages such as this. I agree with the main issues! And find it good in a way to read varied comments for myself. I am not political as in how I conduct myself, so will probably be in a minority with my comment here. Sorry, as comment not meant to offend the balanced, or others!

I am not political, so not need to correct my written work?, I don't care, is a comment, not a contest.

I suppose the ES will not allow my post, but fine, and thank you for the free speech so far.

I think the only way of making it certain that MP's are not in a restaurant or one the many bars when this blatant stupidity --- Somali's knowing more about British fiddles than MP's do --- and dealt with as it must be very soon, is to make them personally liable via charges against their salary, and future pensions,.... not their expenses.

See how quickly correction flies through both houses, bnecause they have to do something urgently.

How much longer can the govt allow this to happen. What about the born and bred senior Brits who need assistance but the money is not there because of this type of fraud. And I must include the seniors ( not born and bred) but came to Britain 50 years ago, worked very hard, did not demand handouts. They too must feel the pinch.
If this woman is a Dutch citizen, why should she receive UK benefits. Benefits must be for CITIZENS only.

Amazing consulate around the wrold should stop issuing visas to any person. Honey moon period of the GB have over. Welfare services have been over. Come here work,live and pay tax only. NO more public benefit.There are some black sheep who are protecting such peoples, nad meerly burden on tax payer. It is easy come and easy go.

1/ She was an asylum-seeker/refugee, not an immigrant.
2/ She now has Dutch nationality.
3/ She knowingly lied to take advantage of the UK benefits system.
4/ There are virtually NO "innocent" asylum-seekers in the UK, as the vast majority have passed through many safe countries on their way here, but choose not to seek asylum as they're required to.
5/ Why do you think that is? (Hint: cash!)

Deport her - send her back from where she came. There are far more deserving UK CITIZENS who get nothing from the government. Five children - great role model to her children - easy to see how they will turn out - non-working money suckers on benefits and at the expense of the taxpayer. SEND HER BACK TO HER OWN COUNTRY WE DONT NEED THIS LEECH who so obviously came to Britain for the easy touch NHS and benefits system.

The amount of public money people like this waste is outrageous. At what point will the leaders of this great country stand up to people like this and get realistic with the deportations. If they let this happen they will destroy one of the best countries in the world. How come it is ok for Australia to get tough on illegal immigrants but not us. Deport her and her family back to Somalia with a polite note to sort your own country out and if you do happen to arrive in our country to realise how lucky you are. Learn the merits of working and contributing.

All those naturalise citizen/permitted residents of the UK. Who are convicted criminals, should have their citizenship revoke and permitted residents should have to re-apply for staying in the UK, periodically. In cases, where the crime is against the State,and or, so odius to the public, an order by the judge recommending deportation.NO HUMAN RIGHTS, interferences should prevent that order from being carried.

In recent years the UK has become a magnet for some of the world's lowest form of human kind....The UK is fast becoming, BAD OLD BLIGHTY. All because of the discredited Multiculturalism

These cases are dreadful examples of what's wrong with this country. They should be stopped from abusing the system at once.

Housing benefit cost us over £17bn last year. Makes your eyes water!

But how come no newspapers ever talk about the really big scandal? Tax avoidance.

HMRC reckon anything from £4bn - £14bn is avoided by companies - each and every year. Diageo shifted ownership of Johnnie Walker, Gilbeys etc to a Dutch subsidiary and as a result pay just 2% tax a year on their £2bn profits.

Perhaps they'll cut their advertising bill if it gets reported in the papers?

Of our top 700 companies, 60% pay less than £10m a year in tax and 30% pay nothing. Yep, zero.

So whenever you think of these poor petty crims (who I DO condemn) taking a few grand, remember that our country is being ripped off to a far greater extent by the rich and powerful - who live in the same pricey neighbourhoods but are "respectable".

We are going to continue to learn of more stories of this nature until this useless government gets to grips with these matters.
There should be hard and fast rules about accommodation and the amount of benefit individuals can claim.
We have a situation where immigrants seem to be treated far better than UK nationals and it will only be a matter of time when the whole thing erupts.
Is that what the government are waiting for?
Deport the lot of them!

I agree with all the comments above and it does make me feel sick to the stomach when there are people of all races working hard in this country and paying their taxes. Who is to blame for this. Not the people who do the voting but the idiots in power who we voted for, which leaves the councils having to follow the rules put upon them. I am sure the person in the council who has to authorise these ridiculous payments was gritting their teeth and im sure doesnt live in a 2m pound house.

Government Expenses, free houndouts to scavengers, useless Quangoes, NHS databases and ID cards. Put all the money together and you can see which institution has been wasting our money...

There has to be more reliable ways of checking for fraud so allowing the innocent immigrants a fairer chance of obtaining housing and respect! Also, the prejudice pointed at the innocent, sometimes, would be limited. And less need for reports like this in the future.
