Programmes such as the Ryder Cup, breakfast television and the Conservative and Labour conferences could be affected if the strike goes ahead.
Unions held back from naming strike dates so that talks can be held over the next two weeks to resolve the dispute.
They say that the corporation's plans to cap pensionable pay at one per cent from next April and revalue pensions at a lower level will devalue existing pensions.
