How to podcast?

Anyone can produce a podcast provided they have:

  • A personal computer
  • A microphone
  • A pair of headphones
  • A recording software programme such as Sourceforge’s Audacity.

Ideally you also need a quiet area where you can record your podcast away from background noise.

Audacity is a free download, and can be found at audacity.sourceforge.net. It contains noise reduction technology which enables you to edit out background noise.

Once you have finished recording, you will need to save your podcasts as mp3 files and post it on a webserver. Server space is available from many internet service providers eg hotmail.
