Jonathan Ross started his career on the Channel 4 show Loose Talk, as a researcher. Jonathan Ross married Jane Goldman in 1988, and has had 2 daughters and a son with her. In 2003 Jonathan Ross’s Friday Night Chat show won the Best Entertainment Programme at the British Comedy Awards. Jonathan Ross was chosen by the BBC to host the corporation's coverage of Live 8 in 2005, and two years later, was chosen to host the BBC’s coverage of Live Earth. In 2008 he hit the headlines for taking making lewd phone calls to Andrew Sachs while on Russell Brand’s radio show. In January 2010 he announced he was leaving the BBC.
