Gianfranco Zola enjoyed a great playing career, and is most famous for his years at Chelsea. As a Chelsea player, Zola won several trophies including the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup. Once he finished his playing career at Cagliari he began coaching the Italian under-21 side as assistant to Pierluigi Casiraghi and took them to the quarter finals of the Beijing Olympics. After the Olympics he was sought after by West Ham and was eventually persuaded to leave Italy to manage the Premier League side. But after a disappointing 2009/10 campaign and a change of ownership he was sacked by West Ham in May 2010.
