Barclays plc

Barclays Bank plc is a large financial services provider operating worldwide. Listed on the London, New York and Tokyo stock exchanges, Barclays was ranked as 25th largest company by Forbes Global 2000 in 2008, but in 2009, Barclays’ ranking dropped to 77th on the Forbes list after its share prices dropped around 40% supposedly due to a fall in investor confidence. The bank has its headquarters at One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, since 2005 when it moved from its original location on Lombard St in the City of London. Barclays plc deals in commercial banking, investment banking, and investment management.
