YouTube LLC

YouTube LLC is a website used for video streaming (using Adobe Flash Video), where users can upload videos to the website and into the public domain, where they can be viewed by anyone who has sufficient internet access to visit the website. Founded in 2005 by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim, the company is currently based in San Bruno, California, USA. In November 2006, YouTube LLC was bought by Google Inc. for $1.65 billion, and currently serves as a Google subsidiary. YouTube has various rules regarding published content with regards to copyright infringement, and adult material. Copyrighted material is banned, as is pornography and other offensive content. Some mature-audience material is allowed however, but viewers must first affirm that they are 18 or older before being able to view the video.
