Robin van Persie is a Dutch professional footballer who currently plays for Arsenal. He made his first break in professional football signing for his local team, Feyenoord aged 19. After 3 seasons there he fell out with coach Bert van Marwijk and moved to Arsenal. Van Persie earned his first international cap in 2005 in a World cup qualifying game against Romania and then scored in his second 4 days later against Finland. The 2009/10 season started well for him, getting 2 assists in the opening game. He was also involved in the controversy when Arsenal played Man City as Adebayor was accused of stamping on his face.
