David Haye, nicknamed the Hayemaker, is an English boxer and former WBA world heavyweight champion. Prior to joining the heavyweight division, Lambeth-born Haye ruled the cruiserweight division, holding the WBA, WBC and WBO titles. After winning the WBA heavyweight title with a majority decision over Nikolai Valuev in 2009, Haye successfully defended his title against John Ruiz and Audley Harrison in 2010, but lost the title to Wladimir Klitschko in July 2011.
