Michelle Obama (née Robinson) is the First Lady of the United States as she is the wife of the 44th President, Barack Obama. She is the first African-American First Lady, and met her husband while working at a law firm in Chicago, Illinois. Born and raised in the notorious South Side of Chicago, she attended Princeton University and Harvard Law School before working at Sidley Austin, the law firm where she met her husband. Obama also worked for Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, and the University of Chicago Medical Centre, before in 2007/8 helping her husband in his Presidential campaign.
