Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale is a footballer who plays for Tottenham Hotspur FC. He moved to Spurs from Southampton as a teenager in May 2007 for an initial fee of £5million, potentially rising to £10million. In 2006 he became Wales' youngest-ever international, when he made his debut against Trinidad & Tobago. His Spurs career did not get off a great start and until January 2010, Bale had never started a Premier League game on the winning side. Bale, who can play at full-back or on the wing, scored his first Spurs hat-trick in a 4-3 away defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League in October 2010.
