Hugo Rodallega is a Colombian professional footballer, born in 1985, who began his career in his homeland. He joined Mexico side Monterrey in 2006 before a brief loan spell at Atlas. He signed for Necaxa in 2007 where he found success as he scored regularly. His form in Mexico soon brought him to the attention of Steve Bruce who signed him for Wigan Athletic in January 2009 where he scored some crucial goals including a free-kick against Portsmouth on the last game of the season which won Wigan 3 points and put them into 11th place.
